Timber Framing Workshop: Postponed to 2012

Drystone certification test: DSWA Level 1

September 9, 2011.  Start 8am. Must finish by 4pm.

Testing fee is $200.  Michael Weitzner is examiner

Deadline to register is July 31.

This is an introductory course to teach the fundamentals of cemetery lettering that can be done in the studio or on site. You will learn terminology, tools, and beginning techniques. Instructor Homer Peake.

September 7-8 2011 – Dry stone wall building workshop:cancelled

At the Vermont Granite Museum and Stone Arts School
A course for beginners interested in learning the art of building a traditional field stone wall. No mortar will be used. This course is suitable for anyone regardless of level of experience or previous work.

$300 fee for this two day workshop. To register send contact information to info@stoneartsschool.org. for additional information call Patty at 802 793-5964.

This course is sponsored in partnership with Historic Windsor’s Preservation Education Institute (HWI/PEI).  The Preservation Education Institute is a registered provider of AIA continuing education.  12 hours of learning units for this course for an additional fee of $15 to cover administrative costs.
